After a pleasant trip on the Thalys, your city guide will be waiting for you at the Gare du Nord in a Citroën 2CV. A welcome that makes a difference! While your bags are being taken to the hotel, you can sit back in the back seat and gaze at the sights this magnificent city has to offer with a glass of bubbly in your hand. Afterwards stop off at Café Fauchon, the fashionable bread and cake shop, for an exquisite lunch. In the afternoon visit some leading contemporary art galleries. In addition the Latem art dealer Guy Pieters, who has a contract with Christo, Jan Fabre and Wim Delvoye, welcomes you with an exhibition. In the evening a vintage bus takes you and your guests back to the glory of 19th Century Paris. In the exclusive restaurant Fouquet’s, once frequented by Roosevelt and Marlene Dietrich, a gastronomic banquet has been prepared just for you.
On the second day you lunch in le Palais de Tokyo. This is a remarkable example of architecture that is not just an ultra-modern museum, but also a place where can observe live artists at work. At four o’clock, take a break in the company of a culinary artist: Ladurée’s almond biscuits are almost too beautiful to eat. In the evening dine with the Paris jet set in the Georges restaurant on the 6th floor of the Pompidou Centre, where the stunning view and delicious cuisine vie for your attention. On the final day of your stay see the sights by bike or zipping along on a Segway. And before you leave, there is still time to sample an oyster and champagne buffet!
